  1. When you plan your garden, do you mostly count on the summer crop? I would
like to share with you the wonderful herbs and vegetables you can grow in
the spring and fall too! They happen to be my most favorite garden veggies
and herbs. The weather is always so pleasant in the spring and very few
insects are awake. I encourage you to grow a spring garden next year, and
there is plenty of time for a fall garden too.
I will show you how many veggies I harvested the past week (with the
exception being the Napa Cabbage and it was 9 days ago). Today, as I
posted this video, I just harvested another 1.5 pounds of peas. Yummy. I
have a very small garden too.
The best part of gardening is not that you save money, but the produce is
sooo fresh amd you are also learning a skill. Knowing how to grow food is a
basic skill every person should acquire. :)))

  4. Donna, you are so neat and orderly. I hope when I grow up I will be just
like you. lol. I’m a mess compared to you. Love how you keep everything so
    organized. Another great video.

  5. Donna, awesome info. You have an amazing harvest – I am so impressed at
how organized you are with your harvesting and preserving!

  6. Can I ask what editing software you are using. I’m looking to upgrade and I
really like your version of picture in picture? Thanks. BTW– I really love
    your videos. Great job!!

  7. Very nice video. Thank you for all the time you put into sharing your
gardening & cooking with us. :0)

  8. Wonderful video. I’ve been so busy with my son moving in, that I have
missed many videos and will have to go back and see which ones I need to
watch to catch up. I will be freezing everything this year and got a huge
new freezer for all of it too. I plan to can things too, and maybe even
dehydrate, so I am trying to keep up with the few veggies that I am growing
this year. Boy life gets busy when you finally decide to seriously grow
    more food.
Oh well, I will do what I can, and just keep working up to doing as many
veggies as I can manage, and then use the farmers market to fill in what I
    can’t grow yet.
Now, I gotta go see about your spinach recipe. mmmm I do love spinach.

  9. LOVe it. I planted some romaine last fall hoping to get a late crop.
it didn’t come up last fall…its coming up this spring. I think I’m
going to do that every fall from now on. Great tips!

  10. Look at all those greens! No one was yelling at you to close the fridge?

I have yet to try lettuce or cole crops, I could probably grow them through
the winter here making it year around garden. but winter time is a nice
break to do other things =) I get so busy with the spring/summer garden.

  11. Such a nice amount of food you have!! looks great! The savings is the
biggest reason We took a dive into gardening. We will be following Larry
Halls kiddie pool method for planting though!! super excited, hoping to
have some harvest like you! :)

  12. another great and inspiring video. I really love this site and have learned
such a lot as I struggle to become a gardener. Thanks so much

  13. My sugar snap peas did not do well this year, dug them up and planted
Contender beans . they seem to be dong good so far.

  14. I have found that there are more to savings when growing a gardening. It
uses up recreational time as well. Recreational time can be some of the
most expensive time. Have you ever taken your family to an afternoon
movie!!! My wife and I weeded the garden yesterday and we had a wonderful
time outdoors also with the satisfaction of doing something important to
    us.

  15. It’s amazing, Donna! You could open your own farmer’s market! I’m blown
away by how much you’ve already harvested!

  16. Hi, I love all your videos they are full of great information. Just a
question, do you use gloves for all your cooking for your family or home
    cooking and preparing of food?

  17. Thank you so much for the video. I’m new to gardening and I can use all the
help I can get in learning how not to waste my gardened goodness. Would
appreciate more on how you maximize your harvest and all your ideas.

  18. Amazing ideas on the greens blanched freezer balls. Space and time saving
ideas are always great to know. Thanks!

  19. Wow you have a lot stored. Last year I had beans and squash until January.
All my green were eaten right away, my kids love it. I guess I need to grow
    more. LOL!
