An unbelievable Dual band Magnetic Mount Antenna, built like a tank for under ! Large diameter magnet, not the “newer” quarter size ones that get knocked …

  1. Ok so I’ve tried to purchase this tram 1185 on both ebay and Amazon UK .
But there only available on the USA market . The tram 1181 is available
here . And my question is what’s the difference between the 1185 and 1181
?? . Should I just go ahead and buy the 1181

  2. I actually use that nagoya one . And it works great . I like it for the
stealth intention. And it actually stays on the car without any problems
(even at 100mph lol) but I have to say I would like to try the tram it also
looks quality and maybe gives better input and output. Great video thanks

  3. With regard to the running of the wire from the Magnetic Mount Antenna, to
the inside of the cab (Ford F-150). I don’t want to pinch the wire, and I
also don’t want to let any noise or weather in. In your opinion, is there
enough play in a typical door frame to run it that way, without damaging
    the wire?

  4. Thanks for the information. I’ve muddled along without an external antenna
for ten years and am finally going to get one. I was looking at one of
these for my Yaesu and was surprised at the good reviews, but your
    validation sealed the deal.

  5. Got one of these on my truck, no complaints. Although I did scrape the
little ball off the top on some limbs, doesn’t seem to affect performance.

  6. Is this antenna tunable? I want to use it on MURS which would mean it would
need to be slightly shorter. Just wondering if there is a set screw at the
base to allow the whip to be moved up and down or trimmed as neccesary

  7. Yes, there is a set screw so the whip can be taken out and adjusted. It
even comes with the allen wrench to do that.
