Betty’s Sauteed Zucchini and Yellow Summer Squash

Betty demonstrates how to make Sauteed Zucchini and Yellow Summer Squash. This is a tremendously simple way to turn fresh garden vegetables into an eye-catch…

  1. I would use organic squash, brown sugar instead of white sugar, because
anything refined is full of chemicals.

  2. Thank you! I didn’t know if squash would be very popular–but it is really
tasty and pretty this way–and super easy!!! Thanks for your sweet
    comments! –Betty :)

  3. @mmorrellwilson Artificial sweetener always works, but you are probably not
interested in that. I would suggest that you omit the sugar, and just rely
on the natural sugar in the zucchini and squash to provide enough
    sweetness. –Betty :)

  4. I made squash for the first time today but I think my mistake was to saute
without cooking it before because the outside was super hard and the inside
was tender… I thought squash was like zucchini but apparently it isn’t..

  5. That looks delicious! In the summer time I make something similar but I add
sliced carrots and a little bit of Emeril’s seasoning (its kind of spicy).
    Very good!!

  6. @potosina67 I don’t know about the rules for eating vegetables for
diabetics, but don’t add any sugar. –Betty :)

  7. My neighbor gave me some yellow summer squash the other day. Now I know
what to do with it:) Thanks! Looks simple and yummy!

  8. I’m glad I watched this video. I do mine the same way but would never have
thought to add the salt. I’m about to make this in a couple hours to go
    with a roast chicken.

  9. I love you so much Mrs. Betty because I watched and followed your Pecan Pie
video and my boyfriend loved it… I did it just like you said and it was
to die for… thank you so much and be blessed

  10. @electronictrip Yes, both of those would be good additions–julienne
carrots and red onions–yummy! –Betty :)
